Municipality of Riyadh city, together with IBM and Elm companies, is going to combine the public services system and the blockchain technology.
According to cooperation terms Elm Company, a technological partner of the municipality, will work with the early version of blockchain engine from IBM. The objective is to develop a strategy on connection of government's transactions and commercial services for the citizens to blockchain.
In the future, administration of Riyadh, IBM, and Elm Company will work on synchronization of the main government departments. In addition, it is planned to determine the services of private and semi-state sectors which can be connected to blockchain within several workshops. At first, IBM will develop the first blockchain-based solution within the municipality and then Elm Company will introduce this technology through the government services for citizens.
