Vitalik Buterin, co-founder Ethereum, published in his Twitter a series of posts with criticism of Bitcoin Cash "Satoshi Version" (BSV), calling the new hard fork Bitcoin Cash "pure dumpster fire".
During the discussion with the businessman and cryptocurrency commentator Tuur Demeester, Buterin spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithms Proof-of-Work (PoF) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) used by cryptocurrency developers to create their assets. When Buterin asked about Bitcoin SV, he responded:
"I don't agree with the roadmap of Bitcoin, PoW, etc. But I think the developers are trying to do something really cool."
Buterin also expressed contempt for PoW, saying he had lost faith in the algorithm, but still continues to be optimistic for technologies that are developed with its help. Bitcoin SV, in turn, don't get praise from famous programmer and engineer — he called it "pure dumpster fire".
Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin ABC were both forked out of Bitcoin Cash in November 2018. BSV was established to address growing problems of scalability Bitcoin "on the chain" by making use of giant block sizes. However, since its introduction it continues to face various technical problems. Other hardforum Bitcoin Cash there are also some problems, especially with the massive adoption and integration. At the moment its value on the cryptocurrency exchanges is $ 85,13, but the total market capitalization of $ 1.49 billion. This altcoin still not listed on the most popular exchanges, including Coinbase and Gemini.Although the hard fork that created BSV provoked serious disagreements between crypto investors, it and Bitcoin Cash ABC still continue to provide them with active support. In December of this year, Buterin invested in three different startups, donating 1000 tokens ETH to the startups, who are working on the development of Ethereum 2.0. This step Buterin was inspired by conversations with the developers of Ethereum, who lamented the lack of funding projects that could contribute to the ecosystem.
