Bithumb became the largest exchange by trading volume

Bithumb became the largest exchange by trading volume in november

The cryptocurrency market data aggregator Cryptocompare published a exchange review for November 2018, which contains information on the latest developments on the global market, which obtained from more than 70 trading platforms.

Authors related claim that in the past month, spot volumes accounted for 75%, while futures ― 25% of the total market. Exchanges which charge a commission for trading operations, control almost 90% of daily volume spots. It is noteworthy that trade on venues for the fiat-to-crypto exchanges was only 1/3 of the daily spot volumes, and the remaining volume was provided by the crypto-to-crypto venues.

Charles Hayter, CEO of Cryptocompare, said:

"Our monthly surveys are of great interest, so we try to add new parameters in our analysis. Current and accurate data about the state of the cryptocurrency market have a very important role for institutional and retail investors. They become more active to transfer assets into a digital format because of quick execution of transactions and the lack of barriers in operations on a global scale. We create reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of information maintained confidence in the market."

Cryptocompare found that in November this year Korean won dominated the trade bitcoins among Fiat money ― it was made around 50% of all transactions. Overall, the South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges showed the highest daily volumes in the past month, their total amount reached $ 1.4 billion. Thus Korean platform ahead of exchanges based in Malta whose total turnover amounted to only $ 1.2 billion.

The situation is so, because the Korean platform Bithumb recently became the largest spot exchange, leaving behind the Binance. For the previous two months Bithumb increased trading volume 284% from an average of 323 million dollars. In November, the volume of trading on the Bithumb amounted to 1.24 billion dollars. Second and third places have divided Binance (641 million dollars) and ZB (560 million dollars), respectively.

However, the review also said that the daily number of visits to Bithumb substantially less than other on a similar exchanges. Despite the increase in trading volumes in November, attendance Bithumb decreased. According to Cryptocompare, to reach the first places in the ranking of stock exchanges with the largest trading volumes Bithumb helped promotions such as Super Airdrop Festival and Special Gift.
